I have just read your introduction to the group. I hope you first weeks have been good for you. I really like this group in that before I rarely told anyone I weighed over 200 lbs. let alone that I was approaching 250 again. Well, I love reading the posts and knowing I am not alone.

I do start each day with checking my blood sugar and record it then (after coffee) I start my day by writing my food journal. I write as much as I know at that time (I can always make changes as the day goes on). But, I have a rough outline of my calories for the day, I think that keeping myself honest about what I eat by writing it down has helped me to be successful.

On my way to my new normal.

Thanks everybody for the supportive responses. It felt good to see responses, it helps me feel not quite so alone

My first goal is to log in regularly, probably not every day, but not go weeks and weeks without logging in to read blogs, articles etc. and posts from other members. I would also like to do more than read so second goal would be speak up too.

Gotta start somewhere

I agree with the previous post..start slow..make a few and work your way back into this. You didn't gain it all in a few will take time to take it patient with yourself and go easy

Easy Does It!

Welcome to you. Take one or two things that you want to learn to do and work on that. Don't try to change everything at once.

HUGS and good luck to you.

Love is the root of all things good in life.

Hello, I joined yesterday, actually rejoined, I was a member many years ago and it was a positive experience getting support in general, not just with weight.

My name is Carmen. I am 53 years old, a mom to a 20-year old daughter and I'm so screwed up in the head I wouldn't know where to begin to say what I need to do better. In a nutshell I need to be healthier, mind, body, spirit, everything and I don't know how to do it alone or even talking to people I know.

I need the spark, a little one to start would be great, then I can work to grow it into a true positive light

thanks for listening
