Welcome. Take your time and don't let things overwhelm you. The Sparkpoints are just for motivation. They aren't redeemable for anything. That said, it is fun to earn the points every day. And "log in" and "activity" points can become addictive.

Read the posts of other members and respond when you feel like it. I learned a lot from other members.

I use the nutrition tracker and the exercise logs but don't use the calorie recommendation. It seems to be a bit high for me personally. I have found an amount of calories that works for me.

Any time you have a question or are struggling, there are members that are here to help you. When you get a minute here and there, explore the site. Join teams that interest you because of your activities, hobbies, place in life, etc. I belong to several and have belonged to others. Some weren't a good fit and I left them and others were recommended to me and were a great fit.

I love that Spark is a dynamic site and I can grow with it and it grows with me.

Upper left hand corner in blue letters is the HELP icon. click on that and there's a drop-down menu. One of the choices is a site tour. May be helpfu.

Although I signed up several weeks ago, I'm just getting started exploring the board. Mostly I felt I had to wait until the end of a very difficult semester to take on anything new. I had a lot of success with Weight Watchers years ago but when I joined again, I found that they have eliminated the discussion boards--the number one reason for my prior success. I've been working on becoming more active and served recently completed Walk Across Texas (although I substituted aqua-jogging and yard work since I have mobility problems. I will be starting a Pritikin/Ornish style diet tomorrow. I would love any help possible for tips about navigating the website, challenges, etc.. And what can I do with sparkpoints? Help!
