I hope I tell this to you correctly, but if it doesn't work, you can always search under My Ticker on the site and get the instructions.
Go to your START page. In the upper left corner is the hyperlink: Account/Email Preferences. Click on that.
Under ACCOUNT PREFERENCES you will see three tabs. Click on Community.
You will see a hyperlink box: Signature & Ticker. Click on that.
You will then see a number of Ticker options that you can track, e.g., weight lost, habits broken. Pick what you want to track/see. You can also choose whether it is public or not. At the bottom, you will see where you can pick a background as well.

Congratulations on your improvements. 6.5 miles is awesome. I know that I can get stronger quickly--- I just need to start. How do I get a tracker like you have to keep track of my weight?

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement. Now, I am extra happy that I choose an apple over a candy bar 5 minutes ago. :). I will try your advice tomorrow. I will need to resist wanting to sit with my puppies and check the net.

Welcome! It will come together for you. Set small goals at first. You say it is hard to be motivated to get off your couch - how about you set a fitness goal before you get on the couch? For example, "I'll walk for 10 minutes" before I sit down for my first cup of coffee." Obviously, it can be anything - you will know what is doable but still an improvement over what is happening now. I used to feel like I climbed Mount Everest if I walked a mile - today I did 6.5 without any difficulty. If you had told me I would be able to do that a few years ago, I would have questioned your sanity. We can change for the better. Spark will give you all the information, support and inspiration you need to achieve a healthy lifestyle. Good luck!

I am in the biggest, longest rut of my life. I have weighed between 225 and 238 for a long time, but recently I found the 40's-- all the way up to 46. I feel that I am at a point where if I do not turn it around now, my weight and health is really going to be out of control.
I did well today (so far) on my eating, but I was unable to pull myself off the couch, and I have so many things that I could be doing around this place. I started with a MIO slice 5 days ago, and I have TWO points. To be healthy, you are suppose to average 100.
I am closing in on 60 yoa, and I need to make a change- NOW. Especially, because I just began my retirement (except for a few weeks a year), which eliminates a ton of activity. Also, because I live in the country, am home with just my 3 puppies all day, and get my energy from people, I need to dig deep for the energy I need to get off the couch. Right now, that is a struggle.
