You've acknowledged you need to change, that is the best start!
I agree read everything you can and figure out how you want to change. Not anyone else's' journey, YOURS AND YOURS ALONE! Then hang out on spark people and plug in.

So I am 62 and weigh 271. I have Fibromyalgia, degenerative arthritis in spine and hips and knees are so bad. I blamed the weight gone on meds (it might account for some weight gain) but it is from not watching what I eat and not being able to move or exercise alot. This is my journey so off and upward I go. emoticon
