Welcome to Spark People and to this team! Congratulations on starting the journey of your life... it truly IS an adventure! I found, especially when I started SP, that just being on this site -- reading the encouraging posts, getting my spark page started, participating on teams and challenges, receiving points for logging my food and exercise(!!!), was all it took to motivate me. For motivation, look at the top of your page and find the Healthy Lifestyle, put your cursor over it and in the drop down menu, you will find motivation.
Also read members success stories for a great motivational spark!

Hi,
I just wanted to show my commitment to losing weight be joining this site (just joined today). I hope and pray that this will help me to attain my goal of healthy weight loss. One of my biggest problems is motivation and sticking to a diet plan. I look forward to getting insight into what works best for me and how to stay motivated to reach my goal. I know that it takes hard work and patience and unfortunately patience is a virtue that I am working on. I would also appreciate any advice as to how to stay motivated and stick to an eating plan that will help me reach my goal. God bless you all with your journey.
