First day of vacation almost over, can't say I accomplished as much as I would have liked to, but I did walk and am eating healthy. Off to the gym tomorrow morning. Goal is to work 20 min on the bike, 20 min. on the rowing machine and 40 minutes of strength training.

Thank you all for the words of encouragement and the warm welcome. I will keep in touch. If you don't hear from me, just bug me!

I'm new the team as well. Truthfully I joined Spark in April, but with my work schedule I am having trouble keeping up with everything. Finding the time to post has been difficult for me. Right now I am on Summer break, I work at an elementary school. My hope is that I can get a good routine going during the next 4 weeks so I will find it easier to continue when September comes.

Today was my first day of vacation and I did get in a 30 minutes walk, and plan on going to the gym tomorrow morning.

It sure will help to have others to encourage me.

Welcome! Consider getting a pedometer. That's what got me moving! My long term goal was 10,000 steps. Met that goal (finally) after increasing my steps daily over a 2 month period of time. Didn't happen over night. Anyway, the pedometer is my physical reminder to get moving!

I am trying again to lose weight and get healthy. I am a grandmother raising her 4 grandchildren and I need to be in better health. I tend to sit more than I should. So I found this on the web and I hope it will incourage me to a healthy weight and better lifestyle.
