Welcome. Diabetes changes the way your body uses calories but it can be done. Many diabetics do lose weight and have fewer health problems as they need less medication.

Arthritis is always a painful issue. I ice my knees often but still try to stay active and most days I can get around. I find that I have to warm up slowly but RA also needs some activity to keep from freezing up the joints.

Hello, I want to thank all the members that welcomed me to this forum. I am a diabetic and have rheumitiod arthitis. I gained my weight when my illness took over. Some days it is hard to get moving, but I will do my best. emoticon
