Hi and welcome to the team.

Dorothy

If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit.
Charles Stanley

emoticon to the Team. Spark People is a really good place to be and learn from articles to post of team members and yourself. Keep logging in, tracking nutrition and fitness, setting goals and reading.

Look at this as a life style change, and what you will learn will help you live a healthier life and enjoy activities.

Good Luck. God Bless.

Welcome to the team. I have about 55 lbs. and that is a lot as well and I'm trying not to look at numbers and treat this like a diet. I lost 4.5 lbs. in just four days doing that and I am motivated. This site is supportive and offers great information to help you, so try not to just think of the big picture and set smaller attainable goals which will make you feel better and keep you motivated as well. Best of luck!

emoticon to the team!! emoticon I had started on my own on March 15th with 103 lbs to lose. I was doing ok but not eating healthy or exercising. I found spark people and joined May 17th. I have lost a total of 35 lbs and 15 of those has been since spark. The real positive side of spark for me is the idea of eating healthy, exercising, and the support to change from thinking diet and believing in a healthy, happy lifestyle. Good Luck to you on your new journey!!!!

Welcome - you CAN do this! I started out with 84 pounds I wanted to lose and I have taken off 23 pounds and had a lot of fun doing it. This team is great, the people are friendly, helpful and encouraging, and there are so many tools available on SP (whether you need goal tracking, nutrition tracking, exercise help, inspirationa. ideas etc. - pretty much if you need something, it's HERE.)

Good luck!
