Welcome, I've been doing SparkPeople for 2 weeks. I have found much support and help here. People are generally very positive.

It hasn't been a perfect 2 weeks, but I'm trying to think of this as a change in lifestyle rather than a diet, so I forgive myself when I slip up and then move on, hoping I learned something from the slip.

Hope you and your hubby find all the support and inspiration you need here.

My goal is to lose 75 lbs. & be healthier, and have more energy to play with the grandkids. I had just started a exercise class for people over 50 when I broke my ankle on a mini vacation. I now got the go ahead to start my normal routine, so I am hoping to start on a lifestyle change of exercise,diet & losing lbs. I talked my husband in to signing up on sparks with me, so we can support each other. I dislike cooking & following recipes, so I will be struggling with the new ideas, even though I do all the cooking in our house. I may use some frozen diet meals in the begining for me to cut back on fast food. I am not working out side the home right now. Was in real estate, but I came in as the market died & so... I do volunteer thru' my city with the youth, so have a major event coming up in the next few weeks to keep me busy, plus it's camping time, so will be outside doing more, hopefully.

I hope I can be a positive support for the rest of you.
