That's a good idea about the apple and peanut butter. Welcome to newbies!

Welcome. Eating out can be hard on the diet, but trying to pick lower calorie (non-fried) things and eating half, taking half home for tomorrow helps.I usually get extra veggies instead of the potato. In restaurants sometimes you can get by just ordering an appetizer. The other possibility is to fix ahead and have it in the fridge ready to heat and eat. When you eat that late you might try having a snack (apple with peanut butter, etc.) around 5 or 6 pm so you aren't starving by the time you get to dinner and you can get by eating less.

The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.--Socrates

emoticon I put a little timer on my crock pot, got a good selection of meals that can go in the crock pot then I either start the pot on my way out the door or hook it up to the timer to start it'd self later in the day. If I'm going to have the pot start later in the day, I make sure that everything is cold or frozen depending on how long it will be before the crock put starts. I also make extras on week ends and have our own microwave meals. I've seem quite a few meals in 10 to 30 mins. you can try some of them.

I am new to Spark People. In the last 3-4 months, I lost 36 pounds by taking my food on my Samsung S HEALTH but I am finding myself getting sloppy. I also love our farm to fork restaurants in Charlotte but I often guess at the calories. We eat out often due to our ultra busy lives. My daughter is in 3 choral groups (soon to be 4), plays piano and is in a hand bell choir. She keeps me busy in addition to my work as an audiologist, we stay busy. We often eat after 8 pm and as we are hungry, we want something fast on the nights I do cook. I am open to suggestions as I am sure I am not the only one with a busy life.
