Thank you so much for the reply. My hubby stroked in 2001 and I started practicing yoga in 2002. I couldn’t even sit in easy pose for 6 months due to a bad sprain on my ankle. I finally started practicing again in 2017 and broke my collarbone. It has now been 6 months and the arm and shoulder are finally strong enough for plank pose. I am preparing to do my first kundalini yoga practice for the first time in a year today. Yay. I do know yoga also helped keep me sane for a long time. I trust your hubby is doing better. Have a peaceful day.

Try Yoga. When my husband had his heart attack 6 years ago, starting yoga saved my sanity. It helps your mind and your body. Blessings.

Hi everyone. I am new to Spark and hope to be motivated and motivate others on our way to a healthier way of living. I am 64 years old and have had some health challenges and personal challenges the last few years. I am not new to exercising and eating healthy, but got waaaay off track for awhile. I have been taking care of my disabled hubby (right side paralysis from stroke) for 17years. I need to handle the stress in a more productive way and seem to need more motivation as I get older. I believe Spark People will light a fire under me 🔥.
