I’m back again! Gained almost 30 lbs since was in a toxic relationship last year. 2019 hasn’t been a good year for me. Out of the relationship and moved out of state. Lots of changes. Good changes! I’m finally getting my life back and slowly starting to think and focus on losing weight and exercising regularly again. Must focus on self care. I want to lose 60 lbs. Came back for support, inspiration and accountability. Hoping I can reach my goal within a year.

I am back again after being discouraged in past years. RunDeep1, I wonder if it all comes down to motivation. I know I have been motivated as well in the past but life's troubles rise up and I forget WHY I'm trying when discouragement sets in.

To change a lifetime of habits is a true challenge. I'm trying to remind myself how much better I have always felt when I get that little bit of exercise in as well as that when I eat less, I don't experience heartburn. It's so easy to get frustrated when the scale doesn't go down, but so far, these small things have helped motivate me.

If you want to build a ship, don't drum up people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work, but rather teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.

For those of us who have returned, what are some of the strategies that will make this time different? I've been struggling with my weight my whole life and am feeling recommitted but I am still searching for something to give me a reason to think this time will be different than all the other times I gave up on myself.

Any advice?

I am back myself after years off being off here. Leaving a toxic relationship and needing to feel good about myself again, and my first step is to become healthier. My first step is focusing on healthy eating, I tried exercising but honestly am just to drained to have the energy to keep up on exercising, I hope the healthier eating and also healing will help me get to the next step which is exercising.

Good afternoon! I decided to start back up. I've been away from SP for a long time.. I used it before and lost a lot of weight and it helped me stay motivated. I've been in a slump for the past few months, life really had me in the dumps and I'm trying to pull out of it. I need some encouragement and I know I can get some here.

I am starting from scratch again... need to lose a lot of weight, but right now I'm going to work on small goals. First goal is to get under 200 - that's 40 pounds to lose.

I'm back again too! I haven't been using the full potential of SP but that changes today. I'm feeling motivated and ready to get back on track.

Yep...wiping off the dust on my SparkPage and cleaning the cobwebs out of my trackers and challenges. I've used SparkPeople off and on through the years when I need a solid kick in the butt to get moving again. I have truly been horrible this past year about taking care of me. The final straw was getting a phone call from my doc after my annual physical telling me to drop the weight NOW. :'( So, here I go.

I used to be on here too. Life got crazy, but now all my kids are out of the house. It's my turn!

Hello all! I used to be on here but just kind of dropped off SparkPeople altogether a few years ago. Life just got busy. I need to lose 55-60 lbs and am hoping to get some motivation here.
