Thanks for the welcome everyone.

JR I like your style. :) You seem to be doing the right things in little bits and it is working. I am going to have to try the 8 cups of water a day and see if it works. I do like to drink water but I never really count it. I also walk about 10 min in the morning and at night back and forth to the bus stop. I love to walk so any time there is an opportunity I try and do it.

Hi Angela! I am 48 and wearing my hair in a ponytail today, so I get where you are coming from.

I am NOT an exercise person, or one to diet. And I need to lose a lot of weight. But I have learned that little things, like drinking water, not soda, cutting down portion sizes, and just walking help me to lose 1-2 lbs per week. So plan for long term, slow paced weight loss. It is easier to achieve, a LOT less pressure, and very doable.

Recently I gained a pound because I stopped drinking 8 cups of water and walking every day. No worries, I just have to try a little harder, that's all! It is not like when you are on the low-carb diet and once you come off of it you instantly start putting on weight.

Hi, my name is Angela and I am 46 years old. My gosh I can't believe I am that old. In my head I am much younger (like 12) :D. I have about 60 pounds to lose. I had lost 80 pounds doing low carb and exercising like a fiend but then in the last four years I have put 60 back on. I had a medical issue three years ago and that is when I put on 30 pounds, and then the weight started creeping from there after I stopped playing all my sports. Now I am in the game and focused on getting back to a healthy weight. I don't think I can get my head wrapped around doing keto or low carb again. Its just hard to do for me this time, so I am going to just do the Sparks suggested macros and see where that takes me. Sorry for the rambling.
