I agree with small changes, and it doesn't have to cost a lot.
Canned veggies weight about a pound and fit just right in your hands for simple light weighs.
Empty 16-20 oz water bottles or milk/juice jugs with handles can be filled with water, sand, pebbles, dirt, or any other pore-able material for different eight amounts.
Walking is always good, and if that is difficult, you can find on line videos on You-tube and SP that are free.

Welcome to SP and to the group! I always advise people to make small changes and build on them. I started with walking 15 minutes a day and built that up. After about a week of walking, I made small changes to my diet. Stopped eating fast food almost everyday for lunch and starting bringing my lunch. You can do this!!

Hi, I too am on a very tight budget. It doesn't take a major bite out of my wallet. I just changed what I eat. I drink nothing but water (tap) in a refillable travel mug. Cut out sugary food items and reduce the fat/calorie content of what you buy. Example in my milk and butter I just grab the lighter low fat of the brand I already bought it cost the same. Measure your portions and make sure you're only eating a serving. You will be surprised at how many extra calories you're getting by guessing at your serving sizes. Reducing your salt intake will also help, this was a hard area for me. I like salt over sugar. Stick with it and you will see results. GOOD LUCK YOU CAN DO THIS!

Hello, I am 45 and will turn 46 in September. I have never in my life wanted to loose weight like I do now. I am not happy at all. Not just with my weight but with alot of things in life. I know I have the key to that. I deserve to be happy. And my weight plays a big part in it. I will do this. I will loose the weight. I just have to start somewhere. I dont have alot of money to spend on this diet. So I hope it works.
