Welcome to Spark! It has been the only thing I have ever really stuck with and lost this much, although I am not done yet, but I will get there this time! I started at 212, and started spark at 206, so in 2 lbs. I will have lost 50 lbs. I know that I would have never gotten this far without the support of my spark buds, and things like blogging which really helped me get past things like emotional eating. (Gotta get those feelings out some way, right?) I wish you all the best on your journey! Message me if you have any questions. I am happy to help.

Welcome!
It looks like we're in the same boat. I've got about 60 more pounds to lose but when I started I had about 75, so at least I'm heading in the right track!
Sparkpeople is full of good info and the message boards are really active, so you can find motivation and info there, too.

There are so many different ways one can eat and different exercise programs - just experiment till you find what works for you.

Then, the best advice I can give you (learned from my own journey) is to be consistent and exercise moderation. You don't have to be perfect everyday - and let's face it, you won't be. BUT if you eat something you shouldn't have, just accept it and maybe think about why you ate it, and then continue on with your healthy eating. Don't let one slip-up lead you into a whole day (or longer) of unhealthy foods. Same with exercise. If you miss a day of exercise, don't beat yourself up about it, just make sure you workout the next day.
Good luck!

Next race: Akron half marathon 9/25/10

Athens half-marathon 2:44:44

If you view your run as an opportunity, your attitude will get an adjustment.

Perpiscuity and beauty of composition are not to be sneezed at in this rotten world.
