Hi, I am Amanda and am just learning the ropes here at spark people. A lot of family and facebook friends suggested I try this out and so far it is really handy. I started my Journey at 359 and am now at 353. I started on Monday this week and have already lost 6 pounds. I am so happy about that. Hello I'm new to spark people. I am so glad that I found this site. I am currently 265lb and I just turned 26. I started out at 290 and I've lost a lot on my own, but I'm getting very bored with my current routine and I find it hard to track anything because I'm so forgetful. So I'm very happy that I've found this site. My goal is to be down at least another 50 lbs by September as I'm starting college to be a Paramedic. I don't want my weight to stand in the way of my dream job.

Hi everyone. So I am starting back up with the weightloss journey. I have been on and off SP for a few years now. However, this time I am determined. Hey everybody. I am coming back totally recommitted after a few months of temporary insanity where i thankfully didn't gain anything, but didn't lose either. Hello everyone! I hope you all don't mind me joining. I'm technically down to 92.8 lbs to lose, but that's close enough right? When I started my journey last Spring, I was 268 lbs. My goal for this year is to reach a healthy BMI weight of 160 lbs. So when it's all said and done, I would have lost 108 lbs. I recently joined WW and I really feel like it's helping me on this journey. I was on Spark first and did well last year...I actually lost 20 lbs, but gained about 12 back by the end of the year. I'm rambling, but I'm looking for at least one good, supportive, consistent group on Spark. I love to participate in challenges, but want to be held accountable for my progress. I hope I'm in the right place.

Hey y'all I'm 27, and need to lose.. a lot. LOL I've lost 60lbs in about a year and a half on my own but the last 6 months it's been stalled. Came here to get the motivation to keep going! My ticker only shows my short term goal which is to be 280 by June 4. Going to see Mumford & Sons at the WARKAUSA festival and it's going to be hot. HOT. Being thinner would make that easier to endure! But 180 is my ultimate goal, anything beyond that is gravy. =)

Hi!

I'm 28 and have been working at losing weight since September. So far I'm down just over 20 lbs, but I definitely have more to go. It's been hard since I kind of thought I might lose weight a bit quicker since there was so much - but I know it took 6 years to add this weight to my frame, so it's not going to come off too quickly!

I'm not sure if I am posting this right or not but here goes. Hi all. I weigh 261 pounds. My ultimate goal weight is about 130. I have a lot happening this year and want to be as fit and healthy as can be. I am graduating and will hopefully be getting a job as a dental hygienist. I am also planning on getting married in the fall so with all these new changes I want to change me too. I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I weigh 276 (according to the scale this morning). My current goal is 180, hopefully by November, my goal altogether is 150. I'm waiting for my boyfriend to propose, so I am hoping that I can reach that goal weight for my wedding, whenever that may be, lol.

I am a computer technician, so I spend a lot of time at a desk, plus a full time student...which means even more time at a desk (doesn't really help you lose weight)!!

hey whats up im rachel, mother to a 2 1/2 yr old girl and wife to a man in the military. with a 2 yr old and a good looking guy its time i fit in the picture. my plan is to drop all the weight in a year my offical goal is 140 lba but thats my 2 year goal..and then a lifelong goal to keep it off. my mom dropped 85 lbs in a year, so i told her i could do better :) i joined a gym and stopped eating out and shopped more healthy avoiding carbs, fried, oil, ramen, and microwaveble. ive just started a week ago and already dropped 5 lbs. i hope to keep that up. so heres to hopeing and getting off my huge hinny. :)

Hello everyone! I'm Jenna and I'm 23. I have 130 lbs to lose to get down to a healthy weight. I've struggled my whole life with weight, but was always around 30 lbs overweight until I went to college and stopped playing sports. Since then I've gained 100 lbs. I've tried losing it here and there, but never found the right routine or something came up and never followed through with it. This year I've put my foot down and I am going to go through with it. I've changed my workout routine to keep it fresh and not the same thing day after day. Tracking what I eat has made a huge difference. I never knew how many calories were in certain things. It opened my eyes. Plus tracking everything keeps me honest and on track. I'm to the point where I want to excercise, i'm not finding excuses not to. Here is to the start of a long journey but completely worth it. Good luck to everyone!

Hi! I'm Dani, I'm 27 and I have 102 pounds to lose. I'm losing the weight now because I think it'll make me a better athlete. I play roller derby, and while I can do a lot of what I need to right now, endurance is really hard, and I know I can't be truely great with all this weight on. I've been overweight most of my life, but it was manageable( 20-40 pounds). It only got out of control before I was diagnosed as bipolar. I couldn't control most of my life, let along my eating. Since then, I haven't gained any weight, but I haven't lost any either. I think it's time that I get it off and keep it off!

Right now, I've completely changed my diet and exercise plan. I work out a lot, and I've totally illuminated sugar, white bread, and unhealthy snacking for 2 weeks now! I hope to get the weight off within the year, and at the very least be able to perform much better than last year come try out time in June!

I'm Ashley, I'm 21 and currently about 260 lbs. I got a WII fit for Christmas and I'm trying my best to use it everyday. I also bought the 30 day shred dvd, but it knocked me out completly, so I figure once I've lost some of the excess baggage, I might be able to do it easier. Hey everyone! I'm 26 years old and living in California and am currently at 275 pounds which, as we all know, can be quite depressing to think about. My best friend and I are going to start the life-style change of eating right and all that jazz, and currently I feel like it's the most daunting task ever. I have a bunch of health problems that prevent me from working out, so my first goal will to lose enough weight that it becomes possible.

I'm not really focused on the number of pounds I lose, as I don't even own a scale currently, but rather how my health and body changes and what size jeans I can buy, since we all know that plus size clothes are a pain to find and fit!

Anymoo, I just want the encouragement and support from other people who are like me, so I know it's possible. I'll be glad to offer both in return of course! So good luck to all of us on this pain (literally) of a journey!

Hi everyone.
My name is Felicita and like everyone else i have a lot of weight to lose (120 pounds). I have been over weight for many years and really think that now is the time that I take control of my life and do something for me. Hi, my name is Aaron and I have about 110lbs to lose. I'm excited to be started on my journey with my wife. I want to set a better example for my 5 year old daughter, who is thankfully not overweight. I'm 24 years old, married for 3 years.

Hey there everyone. My name is Shawna, I am 27 years old and I am from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am here because I NEED to lose ALOT of weight and I need a support system to do it. I am a full time student at Unversity and I am also a single mom of two, one of my chldren having special needs. Because of all these factors joining a weight loss group like weight watchers or the like is not possible because there is no extra cah to do that. Hense why I am here. All your support would be awesome as well a any inexpensive ideas would be greatly apprecaited.

Now the fun stuff about me. I have been through alot in my life so I have learnt that being myself is the only way I want to be. I love horror movies and have a sweet spot for zombies. I love the comic series the walking dead and I am also a follower of both Fangoria and Rue Morgue. I see things often from a different view point then other around me but I love that about myself. Basically I am a great listener, totally wear my heart on my sleeve, and I am here to connect with people I would like to call friends.

Hi, my name is Shelby. I am 25 years old. I am full time student and also hold a full time job. I started SP a few years back and lost about 50lbs. I got comfortable and thought i could continue on my own, with out tracking everything, turns out i couldn't and over the past two years the weight has slowly krept back on. I have to have that support and accountability from others, to make sure i continue to reach my goals. I am looking forward to starting this new healthier journey.

Hi, my name is Stephanie. I'm 23 years old and I'm currently in pharmacy school. I have been "overweight" since I can remember. Over the past 5 years (since high school) I have gained a lot of weight and I am so uncomfortable in my own skin, I decided enough is enough. I am starting this journey with my eyes wide open. I will do whatever it takes to accomplish my goals. For along time I have put other things first; school, work, family; STARTING NOW - I am putting me FIRST!

Hi! Need to lose 115 while going to college and raising a kid. It's been a long battle (since I was 14 and I am now 26), but I don't want to give up. These past few months have been to closest to my accepting that I may never lose this weight...but I want to give it at least one more try, I am going to take it slow, but be persistent. God help me.
