Hey Michael welcome to the team and yes we are
planning a picnic on the June 12th, hopefully
you can come and meet some others.I am getting
excited and hope it works out okay.Does sound
like ya reaching and setting a goal and with
determination you can do it,good luck with the
smoking that is a habit tough to break but i
think you can beat that one.

emoticon Michael! It sounds like you've shaped out your goals (ha!) and are ready to make positive changes! We're trying to plan a picnic next month, so hopefully we can all meet and perhaps get some workout teams/groups started.

Hello, my name is Michael.
I am 35, and really here to look for some motivation, and meet others to either chat with or hook up and walk/run, workout with. Most people when they look at me don't think I am overweight, but I fluctuate greatly between 200-210. I want to get down to 175-180 and be "ripped". I want the body I had when I was a 20something. Other then my outside body looking better, I really want to quit smoking and get my cardio up because it is absolutely terrible. You would think losing my mom 6 years ago at age 49 to lung cancer would be enough motivation for me to quit smoking, but I have tried just about everything. I recently bought the E-Cig which to be honest is pretty good. I do still smoke real ones once in a while but with the E-Cig I can tell a huge difference in my lung capacity. I am tired of saying I am going to get fit, I WANT to do it. I WILL do it. So if anyone up for some walking/running around VanderVeer or somewhere let me know. The mp3 player is okay, but also nice to have someone to workout with.
