Oh Jenny, I just laughed hard remember those Buns of Steel workouts. She had books too and oh the big hair! :)

I am new to the team. I have culled my collection over the years but still have a lot.

Starting and finishing a program are key to my success and I need to get back to it!

Currently loving PiYo with Chalene Johnson.

Hi, everyone. My name is Kim. I'm 46, single, and live in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. I actually have a gym membership but I'm considering getting rid of it. I love my live Zumba classes but it's hard to work into my schedule. Much easier to work out at home with my massive dvd collection that's constantly growing.

Jenny-I'm the same way. Started off with alot of vhs tapes esp when I was just out of college. Now it's dvd's. I'm running out of places to store them in my apartment that USED to have alot of storage space but after years of living there not so much anymore. I found a simple solution though, I just tossed the cases my dvd's came in and put them in the little cd envelopes you can get at Target.

I was recently reading a blog of someone that used to be on spark alot more, and found out about Cathe Friedrich and getting good deals on her dvd's since they aren't cheap. Now I have to make myself stop checking the Daily Deal on her site, I"ve been ordering alot from her lately because of that. I've gotten quite a few MMA kickboxing workouts from her lately. Those really appealed to me because of doing Les Mills Combat 60 day program last year, and how much I loved doing that. Yesterday I got Cathe's low impact Turbo Barre workout. I also just yesterday ordered Barreamped and Barreamped Boot Camp from Suzanne Bowen Fitness. I've put on some weight in the last year and find when I try to do higher impact moves this middle-aged woman's knees start to ache, probably from the extra weight it hasn't carried in years til now. I'm hoping I'll be able to ramp up the intensity and the impact as I get thinner so for now I'm having to go a little easier than I'd like in the workouts so that I dont injure myself.

Hello all fellow vidiots! I've been away for awhile, sorry I've missed your postings.

Which videos are you into lately?

I'm an oldie lover - doing Christi Taylor's Totally Cool Step.... er, SLOWLY cause I'm so the beginner again... awwhh. I love step - it has helped me before & I'm counting on it again to get me back to losing weight.

I'd love to learn about whatever's new out there too.... I picked up a Gin Miller Kettlebell that I've only previewed the first few minutes of - hearing Kettlebells can be good for beginners.

What's on your player? emoticon

I think my first workout tape was a Cher led tape. Now I like The Firm dvds as well as riding my bike or taking classes at the gym when I can.

I remember my first video purchase. Back in the days when Richard Simmons was about all that was available in VHS. Not many workout videos were on the market. He slimmed me down quickly with his zany workouts. I still use them, but my collection is much larger.

If it is going to be it is up to me !!!

emoticon Welcome!
I used to do those Jane Fonda workouts when they were on record albums and you had to read the instruction book to go along with her verbal cues! That was early to mid 80's I think. Wow -- it's come a long way since then! Then as a mom of young children in the late 80's and through the 90's I started purchasing the videos in order to be able to work out at home. I have since donated all the VHS and now collect the DVD's. We do have a great Y here, and I use it quite a bit, but it's still nice to avoid the 40 minute round trip and work out at home much of the time.

Hi, I'm Jenny and I'm a fitness dvd addict. I used to do my mom's Jane Fonda videos in the 80's. The first fitness video I purchased was the Buns of Steel 2000 series by Tamilee Webb in the early 90's when I was in college. I've since gotten rid of all my fitness videos, but I continue to collect fitness DVDs. My family teases me because I have so many to choose from. I love having choices and getting new workouts!
