Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll be back on my feet in no time. I think the broken leg may be a blessing in disguise. I had been praying for some "down time," and the injury has certainly given me that. But I would have preferred six weeks in Hawaii!

emoticon to hear about the injury. But happy to hear about the changes you are able to make. Good luck with the 3 day hike.

emoticon emoticon to you Jenny! So sorry about the leg! Praying for a speedy recovery! Awesome job on the healthy eating :) I'm quite sure it will spill right on over into the school year....Add it as part of health :)

Hi Everyone!

I'm Jenny, a long time homeschooling mom to four kids ages 7-14. I broke my leg a month ago while hiking which really put a crimp in my training schedule. I'm training to walk in Komen's 3 Day for the Cure in honor of my mom who passed away last October.

While my broken leg has slowed me down in terms of my training, it's been a blessing in terms of my health. I have made some big improvements in my diet in the past month and I'm actually enjoying the changes!

I believe it will also have a huge impact on my family. Since I can't get around much myself, my kids have had the opportunity to do a lot of service for me lately including helping me with meals. They have seen first hand how much my diet has improved and they are trying to incorporate more fruits and veggies in their diet as well.

I know that once my leg heals and the school year starts in full force, it will be more difficult for me to maintain the focus on my health. But I'm committed to improving my health and I'm looking for a group to help me stayed focused! Thanks!
