Welcome! Exercise doesn't have to mean high impact, heavy weights, and a fast pace. Nor do we have to do every exercise in a routine. Check out low impact exercise videos both here and on YouTube and adapt/adopt them to your needs. Chair exercise can work well for people with leg and shoulder problems because those joints aren't stressed by it. And, of course, there are aqua-fitness classes at most gyms.

Some recent health scares have me thinking about my life more seriously. My blood pressure and blood sugar are great, but a lifetime of indulgent eating has caught up with me: my cholesterol is high enough that I'll need to go on medication soon if it can't be brought down another way. What's more, exercise has become a lot more challenging lately. I am dealing with a constellation of shoulder and leg problems, some of which have not yet been explained.
