Well, giving Spark People a try since I saw it was recommended for what I am going to be doing. I have a lot of health issues (like I'm sure many people do), but basically, I am insulin resistant, leptin resistant (genetically, not due to being insulin resistant), I have the mutation of the MTHFR gene so I don't process B vitamins, low adiponectin, and low vitamin D. I have been working with a functional medicine doctor and a dietitian for the past year and with the recent diagnosis of low adiponectin, the dietitian wants me to go on the ketogenic diet (I am in prep mode through the holidays, I officially start Jan 1) so I am here to find some new friends to help support me and help me learn about what to do to be ketogenic... and stick with it!
I am very active, I do Les Mills Combat and Attack, I am a POUND Pro, and a bellydancer so I'm always doing something and I always find a way (was in a boot for three weeks due to a torn tendon, and am currently on low and slow per the doc, even though the boot is off, spent the three weeks doing Combat, Attack, and POUND in a chair, and even now, being on low and slow, still in my chair taking my classes, no matter how goofy I look- can't really bellydance in a chair so I had to drop out of the holiday shows this year, but will be back next year!)
