Welcome! It's good to start tracking your food and exercise while you learn the site. There is a Beginner's Guide and Site Tour on the Help menu at the right top of every page. Those only take a few minutes and will give you some idea of what there is available. There's also a 21 day New Member Challenge on the Challenge tab at the top, too. It's a good way to get moving on things you might not have thought about. There are many teams so it's good to check them out, lurk on the ones you think might be interesting, and join any that fit your interests and your goals.

The Spark Points are for buyiung Spark Goodies to gift your fellow team mates when they accomplish something or need a little encouragement. Everyone's SparkPage has a Give ... a Goodie section. Clicking on the button will bring you to a selection of goodies and the SparkPoints they cost. You can give yourself goodies, too. ;-)

PS You should set up your SparkPage so people can communicate with you and you can blog. The help pages I mentioned above will help you with that.

Although I signed up several weeks ago, I'm just getting started exploring the board. Mostly I felt I had to wait until the end of a very difficult semester to take on anything new. I had a lot of success with Weight Watchers years ago but when I joined again, I found that they have eliminated the discussion boards--the number one reason for my prior success. I've been working on becoming more active and served recently completed Walk Across Texas (although I substituted aqua-jogging and yard work since I have mobility problems. I will be starting a Pritikin/Ornish style diet tomorrow. I would love any help possible for tips about navigating the website, challenges, etc.. And what can I do with sparkpoints? Help!
