Welcome here, too :-)

You would benefit from asking your Dr for a referral to a Registered Dietitian to help you achieve your goals. He/she will be able to take into account your various health issues/medications. Weighing all of your food and entering it into the Nutrition Tracker, then printing out the reports and taking to your Dietitian's appointment will prove to be very helpful.

P.S. Have you done the 21-day New Member Challenge. It'll give you a better idea of what's available here. And if you set up your Spark Page people will be able to offer support more easily.

Welcome! The trick to keeping going on these boards is to just do it. Keep your goals small enough to achieve fairly quickly. Know if it's a good day or a bad day or just a blah day and use the boards to look at yourself and decide what you want to do toward your goals. Sometimes it's a move forward, sometimes it's looking for a new way to deal, sometimes it's to just hang in there.

Hi everyone, I'm Alex (cometkazi). I've been up and down losing weight (lose 20 pounds, gain it back, again and again) and I'm really sick of it. I've been overweight since middle school- I blame it on not being coordinated enough for sports and high doses of Abilify and Prozac. But at this point, I'm tired and scared. My cholesterol is through the roof, and though my doctor is trying to wean me off of the Abilify, I'm not sure if it will work, and if it doesn't, what then? My point is, I'm hoping I can find some motivation to keep going on these boards, especially as a student who just gained the freshman 15.
