Welcome. It may be that you being overwhelmed by the sudden change. It's better to make small changes, giving yourself and your family time to adjust before moving on. The Sparkpeople diet may be a little much for you right now. Maybe try doing a makeover on the foods you already eat to start with and later start eliminating foods that you can't make healthier. Read some articles on the "Learn" tab about setting small goals and letting them accumulate into large accomplishments and making meals healthier. Also, try some challenges like the "Tame Your Sweet Tooth" one. This shouldn't be boring.

The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.--Socrates

OK so I'm new to Sparkpeople and to having high cholesterol. I actually came here due to a friend's suggestion and to help me manage my high cholesterol. I'm using the diet created by Sparkpeople, and am bored already. But I'm am accustomed to high fat, high sugar so that's to be expected.
My biggest hurdle at the moment is my family. They can't stand the meals I"m making YET 3 of us are obese, the 2 younger ones are too active to be obese. I feel like I'm creating unhealth in the family.
