Welcome. Of course, talk to your doctor about it, but eating liver twice a week will help with both types of anemia. Beef liver is best, of course, but chicken livers work somewhat, too.

Hi everyone! My name is Deb and I am trying my last ditch effort to permanently lose weight and get fit before taking the step for weight loss surgery. I have tried most everything you can think of in past with no permanent results. I am a flight nurse by profession which carries with it the job requirement of weight limit and being in physically fit condition to meet the physical demands of my job .I am 57 1/2 yrs old and have a medical condition called pernicious anemia and iron deficiency anemia so I have a very low energy level most of the time and heart valve issues from taking Phen-fen in the mid 1990s until it was removed from the market.
The above conditions make it more difficult for me to lose weight and stick to diets consistently.
I think being a part of a group may help although I tried weight watchers in past and couldn't stay with it more than a few weeks.
All helpful suggestions appreciated! :)
