There have been studies on vegetarians who don't exercise, loose weight and maintain better health that those that eat a meat based diet and run daily that have more heart disease.

Welcome back. Just go slow, try lots of things until you find what works. Try some Challenges. You don't have to do all of any exercise routine, just what you can. There are seated exercise videos here and on YouTube and Sit and Be Fit on TV on PBS. The Nutrition Tracker is the most important thing. Always record what you eat so your aware of it. Even if you aren't on track at first, being aware of what you eat is important.

My name is Gayle and I am from West Coast BC. Was a member many years back but didn't
stick with it. This time I am determined to commit. With degenerative disc and an arthritic hip
exercise sometimes seems so daunting. Also wanting to lose at least 30 lbs and get fit.
I am in my sixties and still working full time so hoping for
lots of ideas that will fit into a somewhat hectic schedule at times.
Looking forward with connecting with you all.
