Welcome, Walter. Glad you've joined us. You will probably find the suggested menu a little above your budget, but you don't have to stick to it. In fact you can turn it off and use what ever diet plan or healthy meal plan you chose. The trackers and the reports they generate are great because they tell us whether or not our meals are balanced and if we are keeping to the exercise routine we've planned. Start slow, making little changes, then more, and more until you reach the place you want to be. If you jump in with both feel you may find yourself overwhelmed.

Strength training is as important as cardio. Check out YouTube for videos and be gentle on yourself until you've regained strength. I have some 5 and 8 lb. dump bells I bought at Walmart and that's really enough for a good upper body workout, but you probably want heavier weights since you're younger than I am. You don't need weights for lower body. Other than that, time your walks and try to shorten the time it takes you from one point to another. Then start increasing your distance each week. Holler if you need help.

P.S. Don't be afraid to change things up. This isn't about a set of rules. It's about trying different things and finding what works for you. And, it's a good idea to set up your Spark Page so people can get to know you and send encouragement.

WALTER the tracker is the best thing o used. It gives you PORTION CONTROL for the body

WALKING IS GREAT for the mood and the body also.

Drink lots of water and no soda or fruit juice. Do eat some fruits though ou need fiber.

hello everyone my name is walter and im new. im joining to reach my goals in order to change my life for the better.
im currently 500lbs at 5'6 height and im joining so i can lean to reach my goal of reaching atleast 250lbs. my main sources of exercise are walking and a 100lbs heavy bag. my montly budget for meals per month is about $200. any help and support will be greatly taken so i can start things on the right path and continue strongly.
