emoticon When we decide to lose weight it can be overwhelming to see numbers like 100 pounds, or 75 pounds to lose. It really helps to set small goals like five pounds this month. This is achievable and so encouraging. We didn't gain the weight suddenly. It was a slow process and we need to lose it the same way! Making small changes by checking portion sizes, tracking using the Nutrition Tracker and adding exercise will get you where you need to be. It just takes time and it needs to be a lifestyle change. Not a temporary diet! emoticon

Well we all have our favorite teams and it may take awhile before you find the ones you love so just have fun exploring. We all want to get healthy and some of us (me) have a lot of weight to lose. I say involve yourself with your start page and tracking. It keeps the passion for the game (the weight-loss game) alive for me and it can for you too. Enjoy the adventure!

WELCOME I am 71 been here for five years. I am having a great time. I have lost 50 pounds but suddenly it has stopped.
Now I will look at what I am doing differently and I know I can lose a bit more. I am almost in to the overweight goal and that is where I will be for a while. I do not want to lose a lot f weight but I want to be as HEALTHY as I can.
It is hard but do keep on posting and asking questions. I was a SHY person at first,I cannot type well just two finger but I love he people and even more the motivation to STAY healthy. Pat in Maine. emoticon

Welcome. Glad you've joined the team. We're all in the same boat here so don't worry, you'll fit right in. There's a lot of help on this site but it can be a bit confusing. Take your time looking around. The pace here is slow and steady, so we try not to jump in with both feet since it almost always leads to disaster.

Welcome, I'll be 65 in June. I'm also over weight.
