Thanks for the suggestion I do park at the end of the parking lot for class and really for most anything I do, I love to be outdoors so when it is nice out it is an extra motivation for walking some extra amounts. emoticon

emoticon Hi Brenda, welcome to the team. One of the things you can do that is so easy and you do not even think about it is when you go to class park at the far end of the lot and take a long walk to get to your class. Look around the site there are lots of good ideas here. Hope this helps. emoticon

Hi, Brenda. Try some SP recipes for tasty dishes. I wear a pedometer every day to track my steps. I had to cancel my fitness club membership because of the cost but the pedometer keeps me aware of how much or how little I am moving.

Hi everyone my name is Brenda and i recently moved to the greater Atlanta area to live with my fiance. I don't know many people around here so I thought sparkpeople would not only help me meet others but help me reach my health goals. I am a current psychology student and my fiance is also a student so we don't have a lot of extra money to spend on things like a gym or expensive health food. I would love to eat healthier and still stay on budget so if anyone has any tips PLEASE share/email me through my sparkpage. I recently started doing my turbo jam DVDs again since I don't go regularly to a gym (my apartment complex has one but has HORRIBLE hours). I also walk whenever I can just depends on how much homework the kids have. :-D
