Thank you so much for your welcome and advice. The warmth of your picture reminds me of my beloved (now deceased) grandmother.

Hope you're having a great weekend,

Very new here No classes in my area Purchased 2 dvds that were recommended The chair belly dance exercise is perfect for me as I have back problems. It is a good workout for a beginner. Also one with basics steps My weeks so far have been so hectic I haven't reviewed that one yet

Welcome and happy dancing

Hi All!

I'm so thrilled to find belly dancing mates. I am truly a newbie to the art form and am attempting to get a gasp of the basics. My best friend and I started about two months ago and have just completed our second class. Our studio is supposedly one of the best in the nation (their claim, not mine): Nazeem Allayl Belly Dance Studio, so I guess we're learning from experts.

We find the dance a bit intimidating, but addictive. Who knew it was so challenging?! But we noticed that its increased our sensuality and feminine awareness. Its fast becoming one of my favorite things.

I'm open to advice on where to purchase clothing, DVDs, CDs, and how to perfect basic moves.

Look forward to getting to know all of you better.
