Maintenance Lessons Learned:
-go on with the healthy lifestyle learned in weight loss phase
-just add healthy foods gradually to stop losing
-work out every day - 30-60 minutes is enough to maintain weight and good mood
-do not try to balance overeating by extreme workouts, it is not going to work
-avoid overeating, instead of satisfaction you get stronger cravings

Welcome to the team! I was on that coaster for years myself. That's how I screwed up my thyroid. Make sure you join the +/- 3 % challenges they are great! That's how I have been able to stay in maintenance for the past 7 years. Woo Hoo you!

From my friend Besshale.....maintenance is as much work as losing but we get to do it in cuter clothes.

Welcome, MAR_V3, glad to have you here! Have a look around, there are a lot of resources that are maintenance specific... enough to find what fits for you.

There are challenges to STAY within 3% of a self-selected weight, for example. Celebrations of anniversaries. Links to maintenance related blogs. This team is a great place to start making that mental transition to what we need to do to "keep it off" for YEARS... and with each passing year, increasing the chances of it being "for a lifetime".

Welcome to the new frontier!

I'm glad to be new here in maintenance with you all. I don't want to get back on the roller coaster of yo yo dieting I've been on for years now. I'm so glad this team was formed!

I've been maintaining my weight loss of 36 pounds for 2 months now. So I've got a good start.
