October? It is my absolute favorite month of the year and I'm always quite down on the last day to see it ended.

Since every bad thing is the soil from which good can grow, I think you haven't thought this time of year thing through very far at all.

bad things happen, tragedy even,
some of the time
at any old time...
but don't make a story around a timetable to grow the horror possible,
because you are asking for more to become attracted by your expectation and energy.

I don't like February either and am VERY pleased it is a short month, but I used to hate the entire season as very long and dreary times. Gloomy winter the most distressing. I was depressed the whole season each year.

Then I put a stop to that downer head; I decided to change my point of view! Now other than a few days here or there I LOVE winter. Miss daylight but relish cold. Go figure what we can make of our lives. Summer extreme heat and humidity can keep me from enjoying that season, too. I am grateful for every day because it is uniquely possible to be special.

Death, illness, loss and heartache are not bottled for only one time. Go easy on yourself and don't turn on a time when you can do so much better for yourself. If you are grieving let it be there without adding to your pain.

What I wrote may be inappropriate or unwarranted or unappreciated but I send this with love,

the passionate tiger

Avoid negative self-talk. Start a 3 good things happened today notebook -- it can be as "trivial" as, "I got to work on time, no traffic jams", "someone smiled at me", "I didn't spill anything on myself at lunch", etc.
You have a month & a half to work on it.
Write out & repeat Affirmations, e.g. "October will be my best month ever"

Several years ago my husband & I suffered from "Funky February" a couple years in a row, commenting how thankful we were that it was the short month.

Sorry your Octobers are bad. I'll wish happy thoughts for you. Focus on the good. Start keeping a journal of all the good things that happen now. Even little things that are good. Hang out with people that make you smile. Make other people smile-that's a good thing. Keep occupied. Think happy thoughts. Smile. I know that sometimes it's so hard to smile, especially when you have anxiety. Focus on the good.

If you got a traffic ticket would you break every traffic law the rest of the day? Then why toss the whole day over a slice of pizza? ~Indygirl

If anything bad happens it is like clockwork it happens in October.I am getting paranoid with that month. It seems to be a yearly thing any suggestions on how to handle this paranoia

there is light in the dark and hope for the believer and failing once shows you are only human and trying again shows you are determined
