my sister walks 15,000 steps a day at 63 years old and has lost 100 pounds.

i gave up grain and sugary products and have lost 44 pounds at age 60.

we are both still loosing weight until we reach our goal

Hi, Welcome to Spark Florida:

If you've done it before, you can do it again! This website offers so much in the way of support from other members, motivational articles and challenges, healthy recipes, software tools for tracking foods and fitness, plus a wealth of education material.

When I joined, I posted a question on the Message Boards, asking for help "Eating Up an Unhealthy Pantry" because there I was, so excited about beginning the program, yet faced with a pantry room full of stuff I knew weren't the best choices. I received so much help and encouragement from other Sparkers, that I was able to overcome what seemed like an impossible task. With all that encouragement, I'm sold on SparkPeople's community.

I hope you find what you need to help you reach your goals.

Hello new friends! Glad to be getting involved with a community that will motivate and inspire me to reach my goals. Any great recipes for healthy alternatives to favorite fat filled dishes would be greatly appreciated. I love to eat and cook and I am struggleing with new foods and recipes. Going to try quinoa this week, getting off milk and soda and sugar. Any motivational pictures stories or ways to include my kids in a great workout where I can actually maintain a fat burning heart rate.
