Thanks for the welcome. I have been so busy back at work (I am a teacher) and then the week blitz of cookie sales. My head is still spinning and I am a little off track. I have found the my year of avoiding the scale has turned a 180 and I weigh everyday. Maybe not a good habit, but it gets me on track each day. Whether I stay on track... well that's another story, but at least I am thinking about it. I would also love to bounce the ideas off the other daisies, so Shelle, that sounds like a plan. Our troop has a sister troop of Juniors and we often meet together or do activities together.

Other than that, thanks again for the welcome. Am looking forward to getting on track again and making a difference.

Welcome Lisa
I was a Guide and a Ranger before stopping Guiding when I got married. When my eldest was Brownie age I sent her and discovered Teddies for the younger one. So I started a Teddy Den. Amy is now 14 and not involved with Guiding and I now do Guides but am still very involved with my Teddy Den and the Brownie Pack especially as Emily (7) was a Teddy and is now a Brownie.
Guiding gives me an oppertunity to make a difference in Girls lives, what more motivation do I need to carry on doing this. Besides I just love Guiding and what it does for me as well.

Hi Lisa,

I'm new to the group also. (as of today actually) I have a Daisy Troop also. I am the Leader of my daughter's Troop also. I hope that since it seems like we are the only Daisies here (that I have noticed so far) we will be able to bounce ideas off of each other.

I'm from Ohio. We have 9 girls in our troop. We started with 12 but 3 have decided that they aren't going to come any longer.

I'm open to any ideas that anyone has. Just call me a spongue. LOL

Happy Scouting!!

Welcome Lisa. This is a great team. We pool together all our GS ideas. All though I never have had a Daisy troop. My daughter was a Daisy, but I didn't get involved until 1st grade. SHe's in 7th now and working on her Silver. I hope she walks across the bridge to adults.

Good luck on your weight loss journey as well as your GS journey.

Hi, My name is Lisa. I was a girl scout growing up and mow my daughter is a Daisy!! I love being involved which is more than I planned. In my overcrowded life, I wanted to commit to taking my daughter to the meetings/activities, and have moved up to a co-leader since then (in three months). I have alot of discussions with my more than curious 5 year old about weight (especially mine) and I want to make a change a be a good model for her as she grows up. I don't want her to have to face the same struggles I have....don't we all want that for our kids. Other than that, joining girl scouts again has been one of the best things we have done....can't wait for my 2 year old son to get old enough to be in boy scouts!!
