My SparkPage
I came to Sparkpeople after a knee fracture in late January. I had surgery, I was way overweight, was in a wheelchair for two months, had two knee replacements under my belt, and the fracture was the final straw that led me here. I am grateful for the two screws in my knee, and how it made me change my life.

I am down 60 pounds today, and feel like I can do anything. I am going to the gym, working out at home, use the food diary every single day, and could not possibly be more grateful.

I figured out that you have to learn to love yourself, know you are worth all the challenges, and that you CAN do it. I feel like I have just started, and I am 2/3 of the way to goal. I'll get there too, as I will never go back to eating the way I did. I now look at food with a careful eye, making sure the calories, protein, fat grams, and other things are worth putting in my mouth.

I'm glad there are so many awesome Minnesotans here. You all feel like family.

Spark on!

"When I ask you about your first love I am always secretly hoping that you will say your own name. Now wouldn't that be beautiful - to above all else, have a heart that was proud of itself." - Bianca Sparacino

I have a dream... that someday, people will be measured, not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character. MLK

Spark on.
