I can relate too! Do great all day, 4pm, I so hungry I'm a bear!

I LOVE sandwiches. One thing that helps if I absolutely MUST have a sandwich is using Joseph's pitas. They have only 60 calories as opposed to anywhere between 100 to 140 per slice of bread. There is a smaller version as well coming in at 50 calories. Great source of fiber. They are soft and taste wonderful. (great for making a mini pizza too, or baking for some healthy chips as well) They are found near the deli in most stores.

I am in the same boat as you, and my advice and support would be have some fruit handy when make your daughter lunch, or any meal. here's what I do when I am cooking I have some carrots handy and a glass of water to sip on. it's baby step. please let me know if you need support, on this. emoticon

Oh man.............that's a tough one. I understand and sympathize. I don't really have the same problem, per se, but put a bag of chips in the house and I can inhale them in one sitting! So I get it. Here's something that I learned in one of my MANY weight-loss journeys.....

First, when you get that desire to eat "everything in sight", STOP. Just stop where you are and take a second to think. "What am I really hungry for?" If there's no answer, no definitive answer immediately, you're not really hungry. Duh. Sounds easy, but really.

Then, if there is an answer, like in my case, I HAVE to have one of those danged chips. I do, I really, really DO!!! Then have one. Find the saltiest, fattest, largest chip in the bag and pull it out. Break it into 3-4 pieces and eat each one separately and completely, sucking the heck out of every last bit of salt on each piece. Make the chip bites last 10 minutes or more to eat. ENJOY IT!

The other truly scientific method to know if you're really hungry...............just wait. 10 minutes later, if you're still hungry and know what you want, then you're probably really hungry and should eat.

Fill UP on water. Another scientific fact, the more water you drink, the more your body craves water. It really is filling. I used those MIO-type flavorings for awhile, to get me back to drinking. I just needed some flavor, but now I'm back to straight water or water with lemon slices and I drink at least 8 cups a day, which isn't even enough. I have to stop myself from drinking late into the evening so I'm not up several times during the night!

Keep ONLY good stuff in the house. I know it's hard to choose celery, when there's a sandwich staring you in the face, but you just gotta! Or fruit or other veggies. Make smart choices if you're going to eat between meals. I better your choices, the healthier you'll be and you'll feel good about yourself and your choices and probably, eventually be able to ignore those urges to "eat everything".

And please! It's a process. It's a journey. Don't beat yourself up. I'm not perfect. I'm WAY not perfect. All of these wonderful things I'm sharing with you, I don't do every, single time. But the more you do it, the easier it will be to continue to do it right.

I do really well at work during the day watching what I eat but the minute I get home I eat everything in site. I'll be making my daughter's lunch and proceed to make a sandwich for myself even after eating a full dinner. Any suggestions how I can stop.
