Thanks for the intro (and congrats on quitting smoking, too)! Yes, this weather is pretty harsh. The only thing getting me through is knowing that we're half way through it. We are half way done, right? Let us know whenever you have any questions, or if you need any support or encouragement!

Hello! I know this cold weather is getting so old. Trying to keep my daughter motivated to move via the stationary bike or playing X-Box Kinect games that get her moving. I've been on the treadmill. I'm an emotional eater too. I've found that when I want to eat when I'm emotional I bring out the raw veggies (no dip). Then I feel satisfied that I've eaten something and I haven't done too much damage. You will find what works for you. You are right, life can be tough. One of my favorite quotes that I saw a week ago was - "Give people high-fives just for getting out of bed. Being a person is hard sometimes." (from Kid President - he is on youtube and I love his little inspirational videos and share them with my students when I sub). Good luck with your weight loss. Small steps lead to accomplishing those big goals.

Ok, it's crazy cold out again today! I haven't introduced myself yet, because I actually have a harder time with online stuff and prefer real life connections. Today, seemed like a good day to get on board, being that I will be stuck in again! I usually walk everyday, but my cut off is about -25 windchill. I live in Minneapolis.

I am trying to lose 10-15 pounds, but have had a really hard time staying motivated. I also am an emotional eater. I don't want to keep putting on weight because of my bad habits. I make excuses, because life can be tough.

I might not post much, but if you want support I will give it to you!
