Welcome! If you don't find an existing group of walkers here, you might also want to check out the following resources:

Twin Cities' Volkssports
TCV is a volunteer-based, non-profit club that organizes non-competitive walk events.

Minnesota Rovers Outdoors Club
MROC is a diverse group of people drawn together by a common appreciation for the outdoors. According to their site, ages range from early 20s to late 70s, with the majority of members in their 40s and 50s.

And, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board's ActiveNet might be your best bet.

You can click View Activities and type in a keyword like "walk" and find a whole bunch of possibilities. Some are specifically noted as 50+.

I hope this helps, good luck!

Hello Spark Team MSP. I am somewhat new to this type of forum so pardon my inexperience. I have been tracking my food intake and would like to step up my physical exercise. I am NOT competitive. I would like to find a small group of people who enjoy walking in the chain of lakes area. I find myself bailing on a walk when my friends can't make it. Then Sparkpeople crossed my mind; perhaps there is a small group of people already doing this and I could tag along. I am over 50 and again, NOT competitive. Any suggestions you might have are appreciated. Thank you.
