Welcome Bridget! There is a ton of good info here on SparkPeople. Take your time to sort through it all and see what works for you. I have to second what Ken said about the Nutrition tracker. It is a great tool! Try it out. Wishing you much success.

There are a ton of resources here! I recommend starting with the nutrition/food tracker because that is the key element in weight loss for most people. Then, once you are comfortable with tracking your food on a daily basis, you can slowly start adding in and exploring more areas of this site. I still find something new here almost every day. It works well for me. I've tracked everything since May 9th and am over 80 pounds lighter to show for it. It takes a little bit of time, but it is sooooo worth it!

Hi folks Im brand new to the whole spark thing and hopefully I find some sucess with it! I am a single woman from Minneapolsi who realizes that she desperatly needs to lose weight, cant be turning 30 in a year and be this size. I work weird hours at a local hospital, which means my eating habits are horrible! hopefully I can find the encouragment and support through this that I need!
