There are a ton of resources here! I recommend starting with the nutrition/food tracker because that is the key element in weight loss for most people. Then, once you are comfortable with tracking your food on a daily basis, you can slowly start adding in and exploring more areas of this site. I still find something new here almost every day. It works well for me. I've tracked everything since May 9th and am over 70 pounds lighter to show for it. It takes a little bit of time, but it is sooooo worth it!

Hey, fellow Minneapolitans,

I'm just starting out on Spark. Looking forward to losing weight, getting in shape, kicking ass and taking names. I am a foul-mouthed music and beer snob who rarely ventures out of NE Minneapolis unless there's good food to be had. I love eating and cooking, which, in combination with that stupid slowing metabolism thing that happens around 30, placed me in my current predicament. I have a pair of dogs, a sweetly irritating husband, and a job which forces me to climb four flights of stairs daily.
