Here is a very good short form of the program that makes it easy to get started without the book. Buying the book online is the cheapest way to go as there are seldom any used copies floating around.

I am very eager to be a part of this group. I saw Dr. Fuhrman's PBS special last week and am looking for the book. I will probably have to order it on-line. From what I can tell from the show and comments posted this will be a good fit for me. My husband and I became vegetarians after reading John Robbins book, Diet for a New America , it the 90's. Unfortunately we did not know what we were doing. We gained weight and were not that healthy and after about 5 years added chichen and fish back to our diet. I have struggled with my weight since menopause and chronic fatigue and found that I only lose weight if I stay under 1200 calories a day. I have had to track my food very closely to keep on track. Right now I have a fruit protein smoothy, organic salad, and some fruit daily. I am a little concerned about increasing my calorie level even with vegies, so I will wait and read the book.

Hi fellow eat-to-live-ers! I am so happy to have found you. Recently, my husband's cardiologist asked him to take a look at Dr. Fuhrman's plan, so I dutifully ordered the book. Wow... the doc totally convinced me to give it a try for MYSELF! Yes, hubby will be along for the ride, but he won't be the diehard that I've become in just 10 days. I am loving eating vegan right now. Who knew?!
I am pretty much a rookie here at the Spark, but not to dieting! I have lost almost 8 lb in 10 days, but I have a loooooong way to go! It's o.k., though, because I think I've found the way to eat that feels right, and without much thought (besides meal planning, of course) it should come off over time. Yay!
