Welcome to Team Fresno & also to SparkPeople. I used to be 1 of the team leaders for the team, but am no longer, due to moving to HI to be with my hubby who's in the army.

Kathi (KPMORR89) is a new team leader for the team and she is trying to get everyone pumped up for 2011. She is planning to have a Meet & Greet which is tomorrow... here is the info on that...

Welcome and glad you've joined us! I think you will be able to find a lot of support on the site. I think if you start with sleeping enough then you'll have the energy to do the rest. Have you read The Spark? It's motivating to see the pictures and read about the people who have changed their lives. Of course you can find all of that on the site too. Jump right in with questions or if you need support. What part of Fresno do you live in? I live near Herndon/Milburn but we have members all over town.

I am new here as of Dec. 26, but have been working on my health and fitness since mid-September and have had some success. I know it's important to connect with others who are walking the same path and that's why I'm here.

I work full-time and also help my husband with his business. My daughter is 13 and the teen years are making my brain fire on all pistons...yikes.

My goals are mostly for health, some for ego...I mean who doesn't want to look better? I power walk for fitness but am looking to take a class where I can learn to punch and hit (just the bags that hang from the ceiling - never people!) I want to learn this because I want to master the strength in my body - and I think it will relieve stress too.

I also want to teach myself to get back to 8 hours of sleep a night. I think this will really change my life - 5 1/2 to 6 hours isn't cutting it.
