My boss said that he understood, and that he would try to make sure that nobody dies this this weekend. emoticon

There was much rejoicing!

congrads on the quiting smoking, I did it 2 1/2 years ago, I feel so much better and healthier. Even though I gained weight, i still want a smoke every once in a while but I remember how difficult those first few weeks were and I do not want to go thru that again. I am a Tony Stewart fan, I went to the truck race last night and the gator 150's on Thrusday I can't wait until Sunday! some people get off track with their diet during the superbowl I do during race week! however I did do alot of walking around the last 2 days.

Good for you, quitting smoking is not an easy thing to do. It took me numerous attempts and about 5 years to do it...and it took a health crisis of my own, though not quite as serious as yours. I'm a Jeff Gordon fan, which kind of stinks because I know he's not going to win this weekend...but there's always hope that he'll win again sometime in the next 3 or 4 years...Told my boss today that while most weekends I'd pick up the phone if I heard him telling my machine that someone had died and he needed me to come in to work, I will NOT pick up the phone if he calls me this weekend (even if one of the other techs has died) because I'll be very busy watching racing this weekend.

There was much rejoicing!

Great for you for quitting smoking and you can get all the support you need here. Loosing weight will definitely help your respiratory distress. I'm a Carl Edwards fan and I can't wait for the race Sunday either. Tonight I am watching the truck race.

I quit smoking 15 years ago. Its the best thing I ever did. I started exercising to fight the cravings. You'll feel better soon.

Hello everyone! I am 44yrs old and just spent 7 days in the hospital in respiratory distress. Not because of my weight but because of my smoking:( BUT I quit officially on January 2nd and now want to get some of the weight off. Please help keep me motivated and on track! I am a Jimmy Johnson fan and can't wait until the race on Sunday! emoticon
