Hi, Erin, and welcome to the team. So glad to have you join us.

How long has your husband been diabetic? Has he been to see a dietitian yet? Is he on diet alone, or on meds? Oral or insulin?

Does he do most of the cooking (being a stay at home dad) or do you? What kind of meal plan is he on?

I like fix it and forget it meals..... pressure cooker or slow cooker. I hate fussy meals, not that I won't eat them, I just don't want to make them myself....

Now that the cooler weather has arrived, I am making more soups and stews. I don't have desserts very often (almost never at home) but I have a fondness for dark chocolate chips and I have to really watch that I don't overdo it when I do indulge....

I am on insulin but I also take other meds for Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure and Thyroid.....

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are not doctors, but we are always willing to give the benefit of our own experiences....

Hi! My name is Erin, and I actually am a wife to a diabetic. My whole family is trying to make some changes right now. We are trying to move more and eat a healthier diet that will help my husband keep his blood sugars under control. We live in Parkersburg, WV. I am a 3rd grade teacher and my husband is a stay at home dad. We have two daughters. One is 12, and the other is 5.
