The gold-standard for many of us, is to lose weight. Primarily, this is measured by the metal monster, the scale of doom. The scale often time does show us progress. But there are many other ways to measure your progress. I love SP because it allows you to view "streaks", which is definitely one way to measure progress. I've found that doing the "fitness tests" are great measures as well. I may not be dropping weight according to the scale, but I'm able to do more push-ups and crunches!...
