Sun, 20 Jun 2010 10:32:45 EST Hello, I'm Lauren! Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm 22 years old and I graduated college last December. I gained an astonishing 60-70 pounds while in college purely by excessively drinking wayyyy too much and eating whatever I wanted. It took me 3 1/2 years to put on..hoping to take much less than that to take off. I joined SparkPeople March 10 and I'm already down almost 20 pounds (got 1-2 more to go)! I also quit smoking on February 15th of this year! Look forward to getting to know you guys :) Tue, 20 Apr 2010 16:07:46 EST Burn baby I was watching biggest loser and was amaze to hear that they burn over 6000 calories in a day ( and workout for 6 hrs)

I was wondering, how long does every one workout and how many calories do they burn on average and what do they do.

I walk/run for 30-60 mins and burn 122 cal - 300 cal
Wed, 24 Feb 2010 10:46:09 EST 4 pounds to go until normal BMI.... Based on all calculations I need to lose 4 more pounds to get to a normal BMI range. I wonder though...why doesn't BMI calculations take into account chest size, hair, etc. LOL Seems to me that could make a difference. Anyways....hoping to drop another 4 pounds by end of October and an additional 6 after that by end of year. Going to get there..... Wed, 7 Oct 2009 10:16:30 EST 6.8 lbs until I'm "overweight!" On another team this has been a pretty successful thread so I would like to try it here at Get to Your Normal BMI!

This is what I posted at the other team:

what I did right today really started with yesterday.

what an enticing piece of cake was on Ray's lunch tray and he isn't much on sweets. the old me would have eaten it straight away. the new me was tempted but instead when down to the cafeterial and bought the catfish dinner but only ate one fillet and got... Sat, 14 Feb 2009 19:57:59 EST I came back to say Thank You!! I left the team, not because I didn't like it but because I just no longer had the time for all the teams I was on.

I came back because I think I can handle the extra teams better now but more importantly because this team got me aiming for a lower weight and a healthy BMI.

I reached my Normal BMI a couple of days ago and now would like to help inspire others to do likewise.

Thank you for being a team that makes a body strive for healthier living!

L... Sun, 8 Feb 2009 08:46:29 EST The Prodigal Sparker Hi everyone! I've been off Spark for about 2 months. I hate that I do this on-again, off-again thing with Spark, but I guess coming back is always good, right? And I didn't gain any weight while I was MIA (even during the holidays), but I've only lost 2 pounds.

So obviously I need to log in and post to the message boards everyday. I think I'll have to make weekly goals because the monthly ones just seem too long for me to stick with.

I get so busy with work and house... Sat, 24 Jan 2009 20:43:28 EST Happy holidays! Hi everyone! I know it has been quite some time since I posted, but I have not had the time. I just recently realized that - and saw a pic of what I used to look like.

Needless to say, I'm happy and very motivated b/c now I have only 12.4 lbs to be in the Over... I was thinking along the lines of everyone trying to lower their BMI by 1 percentage point. We could have everyone posting at the beginning of September what their starting BMI is. Then once a week posting what their exercise program was during the week... then at the end of September we could have another BMI measurement. The calipers are fairly cheap and easy to use.

What does everyone think?

Because... Wed, 27 Aug 2008 15:07:32 EST hello! hello everyone! I had Chili's last night, and I feel like I probably gained weight. Eek... It usually takes about 2-3 days to get back to normal after I go out to eat like that. I think I did decent though.
