SparkPeople Getting Fit Before Baby Team Messageboard A place for women who want to get fit before taking the journey into pregnancy again or for the first time. SparkPeople Getting Fit Before Baby Team Messageboard Helloooo...o oooo...oooo? Sure is quiet here on Sparkpeople these days. Anybody home?

My name is Janey. I just turned 33 on Wednesday and my husband and I have been TTC since we got married in 2017. I had a chemical pregnancy in August. Sex ed taught me if you so much as looked at a penis babies would come flying out immediately! SUCH LIES! We're really hoping for February as I've always wanted an October/November baby. How is everybody doing? Sat, 8 Feb 2020 12:16:46 EST January 2020 We may or may not be TTC this month. It’s still up in the air. Anyone else trying? Mon, 30 Dec 2019 11:51:22 EST November 2019 Okay, so I haven't made a post in forever. It seems like no one else does either. Anyway, throwing this out for some baby dust. 8 DPO now, but yesterday, had the slightest tiniest hint of pink brown on one wipe. Have been trying for 7 years, have lost three, and rarely have hope, but... sigh. Fri, 22 Nov 2019 00:22:03 EST February 2019 Hopefuls Anyone in for this month? Sat, 19 Jan 2019 21:29:15 EST Ideas on a 3rd child? My husband and I have been discussing a 3rd baby. I turn 35 next month, so I am feeling a bit anxious about making a snappy decision. I'm a bit nervous about having another. Just curious about others on here. Anyone want a certain amount of kids (of course if there are no fertility issues, health problems, etc)? With the first 2 it seemed a given that we would have them if we could. This one seems more debatable, mostly because of my age and how close in age my kids would be. Three kids unde... Tue, 8 Jan 2019 03:59:53 EST January 2019 Hopefuls Hey all! It's been awhile since I have been on here! Just opening this up in case anyone is wanting to try this month! We are thinking about it for our 3rd. It's still up in the air, but we are seriously discussing it. I am turning 35 next month, so we really have to make a decision. This board seems really quiet compared to how it was when I was trying for my first two! Hopefully we can get it to be more active again. It was really helpful to me then, so I know it would be helpful to others!... Tue, 8 Jan 2019 03:51:13 EST Newbie Here! Hello All... I'm just getting back into my healthy journey. I first joined SparkPeople in 2009, did VERY well & fell off the wagon! For the past 3 to 4 years... maybe more, I've been at my heaviest 226lbs. About a month ago, my husband asked me about getting a TB (tubal reversal) - all our children are grown now... well, except the 13 & 16 year old... but they are on their way. My husband and I have been married for 10 years (this December), and MY last baby (biological baby) is 18! S... Sun, 30 Sep 2018 22:12:48 EST April 2018 Hopefuls Not sure if any one else is in for April, but I just got my BFP today! I'm shocked. I thought our timing was horrible this month (obviously not) and it's been 1 year and 8 months since we started trying for number 2... I thought for sure we would need medical help, especially due to my age... Anyway, if anyone else is still in for April, I'm sending lots of baby dust your way! Tue, 16 Jan 2018 13:17:56 EST New Hi Everyone!
I am returning to sparkpeople after a few years. I am now a bit older and have different goals. I am a 33 years old high school teacher. I've been married for a little bit more than a year now but been with my man for 11 years. I want to lose some weight and be healthier since me and my husband would like to have a baby and i know that those extra pounds can have a negative effect on fertility. Sat, 9 Sep 2017 14:08:01 EST Hi My husband and I are trying to decide if we're going to have one last baby but we both feel like we need to lose some weight before we can make that decision (either way). I'd like to lose at least 50lbs before we make our decision and I'd like to lose a total of about 80lbs by the time we're done having children. The clock is ticking because as time goes on, the age gap gets bigger and the less likely we are to have another baby - lol no pressure. Wed, 6 Sep 2017 11:50:09 EST July 2017 Hopefuls July message board is open. Sat, 1 Jul 2017 15:42:18 EST Hi! Hello everyone! I am a 30yo librarian in Nebraska and my husband and I recently decided to try for a baby. I struggle with infertility and PCOS, but we can't afford fertility treatments (my insurance doesn't cover them), and he isn't willing to adopt, so before we consider a surrogate we are going to give NFP a try. I have had one confirmed miscarriage before, and two where I didn't go to the doctor because of how horribly I was treated the first time. I've been told that it will be difficult... Tue, 18 Apr 2017 00:16:42 EST "Unknown" miscarriage Hi everyone,
I've been off BC for quite a while now, and we've been NTNP, but my cycle was mostly regular so when a month ago I started having bad cramps and bleeding, I didn't think anything of it.

But they went on and on. As I was coming into the third week of bleeding, which had seemed to stop and start back up, I finally made a doctor's appointment and found that I had HCG in my system and the doctor announced I was pregnant. I'm hoping the new year will bring me a new baby. I got married when I was 34 and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when I was 35. My diagnosis came the week of our one-year anniversary, just as we were beginning to talk baby. Now, 4 years later, I'm cancer-free and finally have the green light to pursue pregnancy. I'd dearly love to lose at least 20 pounds before getting pregnant. At my age and with no thyroid (that lovely little organ that controls your metabolism), I n... We have been trying for three months since our second miscarriage (13 cycles total since July 2012).
I wish you all the very best! Thu, 2 Jan 2014 09:39:19 EST Hi from PA!! Hi, my name is Missy, and I am re-joining spark people after a long break. My husband and I plan on trying to start to conceive this summer, and I want to try and lose some weight and get healthier before that. I am currently working on master's of nursing/Adult Nurse Practitioner, which I will complete in August 2014!! 2013 was a hard year for me, just being in school was hard enough, but grandfather also got very sick, ended up on hospice care and passed away in September. We also just ... Wed, 1 Jan 2014 21:13:37 EST Message Removed Message Removed Thu, 12 Dec 2013 10:15:54 EST New Here, Prepping for TTC I have a 2 year old son and have some major baby fever. I gained 60 pounds with him and had to be induced because of high blood pressure. I lost and then regained most of the weight and so I want to lose it again before TTC the next one. Excited to meet more people in the same boat! Tue, 3 Dec 2013 16:46:58 EST December Hopefuls 2013 Can't believe it's December! Here we go again. Good luck everyone! Sun, 1 Dec 2013 11:11:47 EST Pregnancy Exercising Good morning!!!

My husband and I are TTC (no luck yet, stupid PCOS) and to help with weight loss I've taken up running. I don't want to completely drop it if/when I become pregnant. Some of my pregnant friends' doctors said it's okay to keep up as long as it's comfortable and not to push too hard, while others have said completely abandon it once a test comes back positive. Obviously it depends on the person, but what do you guys think? I don't run long distances, but I don't think... Tue, 26 Nov 2013 10:18:28 EST Implantation nausea? Has anyone experienced nausea at implantation? Today I got really nauseous and dizzy in the shower. About 30 minutes later I felt a sharp pain for less than 10 seconds in the middle of my lower abdomen. Right now would be about the time of implantation. My nausea lasted for a few hours but has since mostly gone away. I have a pretty strong stomach and I am never nauseous unless I'm actually sick. This doesn't feel like an illness though and has mostly gone away. I have looked online an... Sat, 23 Nov 2013 21:36:20 EST When did you seek help? Husband I have been trying for nine months with no luck. I have been diagnosed with endometriosis and have had two surgeries to remove implants (both surgeries were over ten years ago). I'm 33 years old and will be 34 in January. I don't want to wait much longer to go see a doctor because of my history, but I'm really scared to see a doctor. I am afraid of what I might hear ....

Has anyone else been in the same boat as me?
What happens when you decide to take the step ... Mon, 18 Nov 2013 09:14:09 EST Sparkpeople for pregnancy tracking Hello everyone, Iv used sparkpeople for a few yrs now and am expecting my 2nd child. I was wondering if any of you have continued to track your food/exercise on this site instead of switching over. I tried Babyfit and it seems dead there Wed, 13 Nov 2013 11:56:50 EST Hi Everyone! Hey everyone! I'm glad to be newly apart of this group. I just started my workout process as well as SparkPeople 2 weeks ago. I am married (5 years) and have a 12 1/2 month old son. We husband and I are preparing to start trying for another baby. With my first baby, it took us 10 months of trying to finally conceive. I certainly hope it doesn't take as long this time. I still have some baby weight on me, and I'm trying to lose weight while we're trying so that there's less that I have to lose... So I'm not new but I wanted to reintroduce myself. I'm Kristy. I'm 33 yrs old & my husband & I are trying to conceive our first child. I know I need to work on loosing weight & being healthier for myself & any future children. I'm a little sad today because my ob/gyn said she really thinks I should work on loosing weight before getting pregnant. She is a very sweet lady & I totally expected her to say that but it still doesn't feel good to hear. :) I am choosing today to get back involved... Mon, 4 Nov 2013 17:09:16 EST November 2013 Hopefuls I'm in Sat, 2 Nov 2013 11:45:48 EST medications while pregnant? Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has stayed on a medication for anxiety while TTC and during pregnancy. I have been trying to stop my meds completely as a "trial", but this did not go well. I am getting mixed reviews from people on danger for the baby versus danger for myself. As one doc put it, if you had epilepsy I wouldn't tell you to go off your meds even though it would be better for the baby. So right now I am just trying to manage on the lowest dosage my body and mind can h... Sat, 2 Nov 2013 00:53:08 EST Needing Support and Hopefully a Buddy! Hi all! I have very recently had a miscarriage at 11 weeks after getting pregnant with my first ever baby. I lost about 45 pounds two years ago, was maintaining at a great place for me for nearly a year, but since the miscarriage have gained about 10 pounds mostly due to stress and lack to motivation. We will be trying for a baby again in late November-December but I would love to have a buddy during this time who maybe is in a similar situation (or just needs support and would like to give s... Sun, 1 Sep 2013 10:55:49 EST Offering Support I suppose that I probably shouldn't be in this group anymore but I want to offer support for all of you lovely ladies who are trying to conceive.

Having a baby, something that seems so simple, was the hardest thing I ever did. Harder than losing weight. I struggled with it for 2 years. Well, I shouldn't say that "I" struggled. WE struggled. It was stressful and at times heartbreaking. That didn't end when I finally did end up getting pregnant. First there was an ectopic and...
