Tue, 14 Aug 2007 11:01:24 EST Happy Summer Good day to everyone. What a busy summer it has been on this side of the world. We are having a terrible drought here. Finally, the sky is threatening rain, and I hope it happens. The grass is so brittle; it hurts to step on it. SInce Doreen is in my "neighbourhood" right now (albeit 3 hours away), I'll bet she can agree with me.
I finished the Alma College time-travel novel.I say "finished." It is finally spring here. In one day, my entire bed of daffodils has bloomed and the grass is green. What a glorious day. I was looking out of the library door and saw all the kindergarten kids outside, and I took ten minutes to go out and play with them in the beautiful sunshine. We drew with sidewalk chalk, skipped and hula-hooped...I had a lot of work to do, but playing seemed to be more important.
We have just now finished our BBQ'd supper..... I have also recently taken up drawing and painting and... Sat, 7 Apr 2007 17:57:55 EST Are there any writers out there? Whoa, I am nervous about starting a whole new forum. I have seen so many creative and poetic people on the message boards, and thought this might be a really neat way to connect with eachother....
Just like setting goals for better health, writers have to set goals, too (like, maybe writing something every day!)
I write little personal essays, a few of which have been published here and there...nothing major. I also dabble in some free verse, short stories and song-writing. My real ... Fri, 2 Feb 2007 19:06:20 EST
