Good morning all! Glad to find a group for fellow couponers and penny pinchers here on SP. I'm Kelli, mom to 4 kids and wife to a great guy...oh yeah and mama/pack leader to our puppy, Sammie. I have been a serious coupon user for about 10 years now and still love finding the deals and such. I'm not new to SP, I just fell of the sparkwagon and after gaining the weight back and then some I decided I needed to get back on the wagon. I am making it a challenge for me to still stay in my $75/week... Sat, 25 Jul 2009 10:56:11 EST Need advice on buying exercise equipment Hi everyone! So I just started the Chalean Extreme (bought super cheap on ebay) and I'm really liking it. However, I only own 5, 8 and 10 lb weights, and the whole point of this routine is to reach muscle "failure" at 9-12 reps, and my weights aren't cutting it.

So in the videos, they use Bowflex Selecttechs, which look awesome and have good reviews. Its like owning 15 sets of weights, but of course, its ridiculously expensive at $399 (free shipping though). However, another se... This a challenge for the month of May. How low can you go or how little can you spend during the month of May? Let's start this with just one specific area. Since food is one the larger items on our budget let's start with that one. Look back through your check book or records and see how much you spent on groceries for the April and maybe March. Tue, 28 Apr 2009 19:20:22 EST Do you,,,,, redecorate your home in any way for spring and summer? Some people change out curtains or drapes for a lighter fabric or pattern for summer. Some people just change out some accessories to something lighter and brighter. I like to try and keep my home so that it pleases and inspires me. We have very HOT summers here in Alabama so I don't change out drapes because I'll want to block out some of that sun in the summer to help keep the house cooler. But I am thinking of changing out some pi... Tue, 21 Apr 2009 06:36:20 EST Tuesday,,,,,, I want you to step outside your comfort zone and make a new recipe. Some stuff has a longer cycle and some stuff has a shorter cycle. The concensus was that you should learn the cycle for the products that you buy and then stock up on that item to get you throught the cycle and to the next sale. I can't remember if it was the same article or a different one that advised using a pricebook to keep track of the different prices on things you buy regularly... Sun, 11 Jan 2009 20:02:23 EST Gym membership - how can you afford it? I just checked with a gym in my area and they charge 34.50 for two weeks. It's not all that expensive, or so I've been told, but I have no idea how I'm going to come up with that much room in my budget. Do you have a gym membership? If you don't mind sharing, what do they charge? And how do you make room in your budget for it? I feel guilty for having my family do without things just because I need a gym membership to help me lose weight. How do you deal with this? Wed, 24 Dec 2008 09:57:28 EST Buying in bulk worth it Hello

Is it worth buying stuff in bulk or is it a waste some time just wondering Tue, 23 Dec 2008 09:44:40 EST Sparkpeople's Nutrition Menus I am suppose to be following the sparkpeople's nutrition menus but I find them to be more work than they are worth. Food prices are going up and so is everything else we clip coupons and everything else and still seems to be getting no where. Sun, 21 Dec 2008 10:16:42 EST Oh my word! So I have always known that groceries are expensive and I needed to trim the budget in that area. I thought I was spending around $600 a month on food (about $150 a week). Well I save all my grocery receipts for my daycare taxes and I usually only add up the amount I spend on the kids to record in my taxes. Well I suddenly realized if I have the recipes I can add up how much I am actually spending...I know a little slow on the uptake over here! lol. So I added it all up and I think my heart s... Tue, 16 Dec 2008 13:43:35 EST Wood Laminate flooring or carpet? I need to replace the carpet in my house but can't decide what kind of floors to get. First I was thinking of getting laminate wood flooring since I think it would be easier to wipe up spills. Then I thought about getting business carpet that will really take a beating. I am at a loss. Any recommendations?
247 Janet Mon, 15 Dec 2008 20:09:24 EST Bargain Shopping Strategies Hi! I thought this article may be helpful for some of us!

ey/a/BargainShopping.htm
Fri, 5 Dec 2008 10:55:58 EST Hello !!
