That isn't very convenient, so I went with a cheap water boiler. I upgraded to a Black and Decker model with variable temperature settings, as I read that green teas should be steeped at 175 degrees instead of boiling to release less bitter tannins, and found that the tea was indeed smoother. Most of the time I drink black teas and boiling water is fine for that, but I've been using my variable temp boiler for eve... Tue, 2 Aug 2011 09:04:10 EST Hello! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=-1x7805x43291936 I have been drinking matcha for years as I was introduced to it in Japan when I lived there. One day I realized I could be adding it to much of my food as a natural way to turn on thermogenisis. As a result, I'm blasting through my stock very quickly (with great benefits, I would like to add). Now that Japan has the nuclear meltdown, I wondering about the safety of this tea. Does anyone have any information or feedback on this? I have been on SP since last year and loving every bit of it. As of late I have kicked my weight loss in gear and have given up soda. In place of it has come water and tea. I like the soothing taste and feel of tea and look forward to getting to know more Sparkers.

252
Sunny 67 Sun, 27 Jan 2008 09:01:04 EST The tea cup http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/team_messageboard_thread.asp?board=0x7805x11663711 I got this off another great list that I am on and was very moved and though it is more of a motivational story , it is about a tea cup so thought I would share.

There was a couple who used to go to England to shop in a beautiful antique store. It is called "Teavana." I was attracted to the smell and the f...
